Pleiades
An archaeological site located near Re'im, Israel, the tell sits along the river Besor, 10 km south of Gaza. William Flinders Petrie was the site's first excavator in 1927-1928. Smithsonian Institution excavations occurred under the direction of Gus W. van Beek from 1970 to 1990.
This site was continuously occupied for ca. 1400 years from the Middle Bronze Age to the Persian period.
