Kef Kalesi is an Urartian fortress near Adilcevaz in the area of Lake Van in the southeast of Turkey. According to an Urartian inscription of Rusa, son of Argišti II (7th century BCE), it was built by this very king. The inscription further mentions the foundation of a new city at this site which Rusa named "City of the God Haldi in the Land Ziuquni".
