Tepe Gawra was occupied between ca. 5000 and 1500 B.C. with remains from the Halaf period, the Ubaid period, and the Uruk period. It is one of the few sites with evidence for the Halaf to Ubaid transition (ca. 5,500 to 5,000 B.C.)
